- Sphinctrina turbinata is a lichenicolous fungus usually found growing on Pertusaria, but this specimen was growing on Aspicilia caesiocinerea (Nyl. ex Malbr.) Arnold on a rock near the water on the E side of Liberty Lake, Carroll County, Maryland, USA; collected by E.C. Uebel, identified by Dr. Steven Selva at the University of Maine at Fort Kent.
